LED TECHNOLOGY
In the simplest terms, a light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that emits light when an electric current is passed through it. In old times, the R, G and B colors were 3 seperate LED bulb, the three bulb together can be called a Pixel, the center distance between neighbouring pixels is call the pixel pitch, we call the pixels per square meter the pixel density, the higher the pixel density is, the better the image the LED screen will be.
Along side with the development of the LED display industry, more and more projects were asking for higher resolution / pixel density products which the traditional bulb LED won’t be able to solve it since each bulb has a limitation on its size. then comes the SMD LED which means to integrate the R, G and B color chips in one device, this technology makes it possible to product higher resolution LED display that start to expand market for indoor commercial screens.
An LED module is the smallest circuit that integrates the LEDs and the rest of the necessary electronics so that the LEDs can reproduce images and videos controled by system card.
There are different module sizes for different pixel pitch, the most commonly used module sizes are 320mm x 120mm, 240mm x 240mm, 192mm x 192mm, 160mm x 160mm, 250mm x 250mm, 256mm x 128mm and so on, usually a screen size either horizontal or vertical should be interger times of the module sizs.
LED cabinet is the smallest FG part that modules, PSU and system card are already installed, it is also the smallest part to ship, when you order a LED screen, you will most probablly receive the screen in many cabinets.
Cabinet sizes can be different according to your target screen size, the factory will do the calculation to find the best cabinets sizes for you.
LED Display is one of the main screen displays that are being commercially used. The biggest advantage of the LED display is its efficient and low-energy consumption, which is especially needed for handhelds and chargeable devices such as mobile phones and tablets. An LED display consists of a number of LED panels that, in turn, consist of several LEDs. LEDs have numerous advantages over other light-emitting sources that can be used alternatively. Aside from being power efficient, LEDs produce more brilliance and greater light intensity. LED Display is different from the vacuum fluorescent display used in some consumer electronics such as car stereos, videocassette recorders, etc., and, hence, these two should not be confused with each other.
